Gibson Legal Works, LLC opened in 2023. The Firm's objective is to provide stellar legal services, practical judgment, and positive results at a reasonable price. Mac Gibson has over 30 years of experience. He honed his legal skills while working 22 years at Alston & Bird, one of the world’s top law firms. There, he became a Partner and chaired the Firm’s Real Estate Litigation practice. In 2012, he left to join a boutique litigation firm to better serve his clients in a more personal way. He opened Gibson Legal Works to focus his practice on assisting clients whose objectives were more aligned with his own.
About Mac’s Practice
A. McCampbell ("Mac") Gibson is a judicious lawyer with over 30 years of experience and is the founder of Gibson Legal Works LLC in Atlanta, Georgia, and serves clients such as owners of hotels, national retailers, payment processing and fintech issues, restaurants, convenience stores and more in real estate matters, as well as in business litigation issues involving contract disputes, business divorces, restrictive covenants, trespass and nuisance claims, and eminent domain matters. Furthermore, he is knowledgeable in all aspects of commercial litigation as well.
Mac Gibson has tried over a dozen cases to judgment and has over twenty published decisions. He has obtained multi-million dollar judgments, multi-million dollar settlements, defense verdicts, and summary dispositions favorable to his clients.
After completing his undergraduate studies in 1987 and graduating with his Bachelor of Arts degree magna cum laude from Washington and Lee University, Mr. Gibson entered the United States Army Reserve, and later, became a captain and judge advocate general. He attended the University of Georgia School of Law, where he was the editor of the Georgia Law Review. In 1989, with his partner, Mr. Gibson won the UGA mock trial competition. He received his Juris Doctor in 1990 and, in the same year, his license to practice in Georgia. He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States , the Georgia Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the United States District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia, and all Superior and State Courts in Georgia.
Mr. Gibson has gained the respect of his peers and legal organizations for his efficacious work in promoting a personalized, client-centric practice for businesses, acting as a stalwart companion to his clients from the beginning to the end of their cases.
